Blackman’s was founded in 1950 by Alan Blackman in the backyard of his East Bentleigh home. Alan recognised a need for Motor trimming in the area and put his skills to use taking on repairs and restoration work.
Blackman’s leather interiors was born. He quickly procured a factory in East Bentleigh until his retirement. At this stage, Blackman’s began to see a need for aftermarket leather in new vehicles for dealerships. From this point on, Blackman’s have continued to grow and be at the forefront of the industry.

Blackman’s can also provide aftermarket leather kits (a manufactured to ordered kit that is ready to be installed at any motor trimming factory in Australia).

This facility has increased Blackman’s manufacturing capabilities and helped Motor Trimmers across Australia increase their ‘bottom line’ by reducing the amount of time previously spent on patterning and manufacturing an interior.
